I have cell phones for 2 of my children and myself. I purchased these phones in order to keep my exhusband's cell bill low because of our talking to each other. So about 2 weeks ago my youngest daughter was grounded and her father took her phone. I would try to call her and her phone would be off, so I would send him a text message to give our daughters phone back because I was trying to call her.
This past Monday, I get a call from my daughter saying to stop texting her dad and that he was getting mad. She said she didn't like it. I informed her that this subject was between her father and I. She told me that her dad was not a messenger. Of course I tried to tell her that him being a parent didn't mean that he was a messenger and that as a parent he could give her the message that I was trying to get in touch with her. It was awful and she ended up hanging up on me.
On Tuesday she called me again and wanted to talk about the previous night. I told her to let me finish what I was doing and in one minute or so I would go to where it was quite so I could talk to her. She didn't want to wait. I told her that I had to finish what I was doing so that I could talk to her. In like 2 minutes I tried calling her back and she didn't answer. For almost 2 hours I tried to call and her phone was either off or it went to her voicemail.
On Wednesday she called me again. The conversation was good at first. But she was asking me if I still worked at the insurance agency. I told her no. Then she asked me how I was paying my bills. I told her that was my concern and for her not to worry about it. She also asked about me paying my child support. I told her that I was and of course she wanted to know how. Again, I had to tell her that was my concern.
When she called me back, she started in on the issue with me texting her father. I told her again that this was between him and I. She said it was between me, her and her father. She kept trying to argue with me. At one point we were talking about her and her respect for me and how old she was. I told her that I don't care how old she is and that it was not the point of our conversation. She then accused me of not caring about her.
I was hung up on again. Also, I heard her dad and stepmom right there next to her while she was talking to me. I will post more later.

My daughter, K.
In 1993 we had another daughter. My husband and I were so happy. The year before my daughter T and I took a trip to visit my family in another state. We were gone for 2 weeks. The day we returned, my mother-in-law kept our daughter for a couple of hours. That is the day we conceived our second child. My daughter T was so protective over her sister. We went next door to our neighbor to visist and show off our little girl. When my friend Cindy was holding the baby, my daughter T told her to be careful and not hurt her baby sister. It was so funny, but it also showed me how close they were. As K got older though, T would try to blame stuff on her. My mom came to visit one year and caught T doing something with the crib that K was in. Then she blamed it on her sister. My mom saw T do it and was about to give her time-out. T tried to get out of it. I will write more as I am able.

My marriage.
My husband and I got together in 1988. We moved in with my parents and lived in Washington for about 6 months. He had tried getting a good paying job and was not able to. We then moved to Alabama where his parents lived. We stayed with them for about 4 - 6 months then got our own place. During this time, I had found out that I was pregnant with our first daughter. I also had appendicitis when I was 3 months along. I had the pain associated with appendicitis for 3 days. My doctor kept telling me that I had gas. When I finally went to the ER, they found that it was definetely appendicitis and scheduled me for surgery the very next morning when they could get an operating room. I remember that I was not put under but was given a local anesthetic. I had something to drink with my meds and they told me that if they put me under, I could aspirate. During the surgery I remember hearing the surgeon tell someone in the room to get the suction and that I had ruptured. I could hear the suctioning and ended up getting sick while in the operation. We both survived and 6 months later I had a beautiful girl who was not affected by the surgery! I was so happy and relieved.

My second oldest daughter
My daughters have been the most important in my life. I had my second oldest daughter when I was 18 yrs. old. We were both lucky when I was pregnant with her. My appendix ruptured on the table when I was 3 months along. She was born about 6 months later just as healthy as ever! I remember how she would follow me around in the garden and help me pick the veggies. She was so proud and I was so proud of her! She was a tomboy at the beginning playing with the neighborhood boys. She scared the world out of me only on one occassion. We had put her to bed and went to the living room to relax before going to bed. It was quiet in her room so we didn't think anything. About 5 minutes later there was a knock on our back door. It was our neighbor with our 4 yr old daughter! I felt my stomach drop to the floor. We found out that as she put it she had snuck out opening the window very softly. She would always grab my neck and hug me and tell me she loved me. She is 20 now and has a family of her own. She has two younger sisters that I will be writing of in the very near future that are just as wonderful as she is. I will also be writing more of T very soon. God Bless everyone!
